 Why do you need to verify my identity?

 Why do I have to provide my Social Security Number? Can I register without it?

 What are the requirements to play 888poker for real money?

 Outside New Jersey
If you are not currently in New Jersey, you will not be able to play for real money. However you can still open an account at 888poker and be ready to play next time you visit. Follow these steps to open your account:

• Download and install the 888poker software
• Complete the registration form
• Save your username and password for when you visit New Jersey

When you arrive in New Jersey, simply log on, and complete our full registration process and you’ll be ready to play real money poker online.

Within New Jersey
In order to play for real money in New Jersey you must complete the following three steps:

• Download and install the 888poker software
• Complete the full registration process
• Connect to 888poker via a Wi-Fi network or if on mobile 3G or 4G
• When connecting via 3G/4G your Wi-Fi must be enabled

 How does 888poker use my cell phone to verify my location?

 As a backup method, we may periodically ping your cell phone to verify that you are in New Jersey. Before the first time we do this, we will send you a text message to phone asking for your permission to ping your phone. Simply reply YES and then afterwards once you log in to 888poker, your location will be verified through your cell phone.

 Which carriers will allow me to use my phone to verify my location?

 The mobile phone location service is available only on AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Cricket, and T-Mobile. Please note that the location service might not be available if the phone is roaming or is turned off.

 I changed my phone number, how can I update my profile?

 To update your new phone number simply:

1. Log in to 888poker
2. Open the ‘My Profile’ menu
3. Select ‘Update Cell phone Number’
4. Verify that the number listed is correct and click ‘Resend text message’.

 I’m playing on a computer without Wi-Fi, can I still play?

 If you don’t have Wi-Fi you can get a free USB Wi-Fi adapter from 888. During the registration process, If our software can’t detect a Wi-Fi connection you will be directed to a page where you can enter your details and we’ll mail you the adapter free of charge.

 I’m using a Mac, why can’t my location be verified?

  In order to log in to 888poker and have your location verified, you must turn off some of your Mac’s sharing settings.
To change these settings go to: System Preferences -> Sharing -> and uncheck Remote Login, Remote Management, and Remote Apple Events

 Why is my account listed as “temporary”?

A temporary account is created when one of the pieces of the information you provided during the registration process could not be verified. To verify your account, please upload a scanned copy or photo of your government issued photo ID to the 888 cashier.

 How do I withdraw my funds from 888poker?

 To withdraw money from your account, open the 888poker software and log in to your account. Click on the ‘Cashier’ menu, and click ‘Withdraw.’ Just fill in your details, click ‘Withdraw’ and your request will be processed. While you must be in New Jersey to deposit funds and play poker, you can withdraw your funds from anywhere in the world.

 What is a token and what is it used for?

 A token is a security code that 888poker uses to verify your identity. This code is sent directly to your email address when (1) you try to log in unsuccessfully three times in a row or (2) to verify a withdrawal.

If you try to log in three times in a row unsuccessfully, an email will automatically be sent to your email address. To log in, use your username, password, and token to log into 888poker.

When you make a withdrawal, a token will also be used to safeguard your account. Before you submit the final approval for a withdrawal, you will be emailed a token to be used to verify your identity. To approve the withdrawal, you will be asked to provide your username, password, and token in order for the request to be processed.

 Why Can’t I Use My HUD?

 The HUD (Heads –Up Displays) aren’t available in your client. Players can always review their hands in the client and request specific hand histories from Customer Support.
