Poker Night in America Accepts the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Making its first appearance on the poker scene, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge was accepted by members of the Poker Night in America Crew. Standing in front of the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Upstate New York, four brave men soaked themselves in ice water to encourage awareness of the ALS disease. The nomination came from 888poker's Marketing Director, Chris Capra.

Nolan Dalla, Poker Night in America's Creative Director and one of the most interesting men in the game, was the first to take the challenge. But first, he nominated Phil Hellmuth, a 13-time WSOP gold bracelet winner to take the challenge too.

Next up was the Director of Poker Operations at Turning Stone, Jason DiBenedetto. While wearing a fine suit, he nominated Dan Jones from the marketing department and doused himself with the ice water. Chris Hanson, Poker Night in America Host, dedicated the challenge to a friend in Fargo, Dakota, who is battling ALS. He nominated Lon McCarren, Norman Chad, Vincent Van Patten and Mike Sexton. Finally, Poker Night in America Producer Todd Anderson makes the last splash but not before nominating Adam Pliska from WPT and Ty Stewart from WSOP.

The Poker Night in America Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on August 16, raising awareness throughout the poker community. To donate to the cause, visit alsa.org/donate
