A former professional soccer player and paratrooper in the Israeli Defense Forces, David Levi got into American poker some 20 years ago and has been impressing us at final tables ever since. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, Levi played soccer for the Hapoel Ramat Gan team, but his career was quickly halted due to a knee injury. He then moved to Los Angeles where he was introduced to the world of poker.

Levi has finished in 1st place over 20 times in his poker career, most outstandingly in the $3,100 No Limit Hold'em Event at the Bellagio High Buy-in Tournament Series in 2002, where he beat WPT champion Alan Goehring. Levi has achieved multiple caches at the World Series of Poker, including 2 final tables and the 2005 WSOP Tournament of Champions final table. He also finished in the money at the World Poker Tour 10 times. In Season Six, he finished in 3rd place and took home $229,540.
