Go beyond the felt with the biggest personalities in poker today with Poker Night in America. Every Monday night on CBS Sports Network is poker night! Starting January 5th at 10 PM ET watch back-to-back episodes of the second season of the most fun poker show on TV, sponsored by 888poker.

Every week you’ll see some of the biggest names in the game play for real money against one another in games that are meant to show off their poker skill and personality. Poker Night in America takes you into the lives of professional poker players and shows you the player behind the cards.

The first season featured some huge hands, huge blow ups, and huge personalities. In the 29 episodes of the first season, some of the best known players in the world sat down and played against each other for thousands of dollars a hand.

The players of Poker Night in America

The players range from mainstays in the poker world like Phil Laak, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Kristy Arnett and Lauren Billings, to online sensation Shaun Deeb. These are just big names in the poker world, they’re also big personalities, which makes every hand especially interesting.

Part of the fun of Poker Night in America is that it’s a travelling show, playing poker all across the country. From New York, to Nevada, and everywhere in between, Poker Night in America plays all across the country.

Behind the scenes

The show is the brainchild of Todd Anderson and his company, Rush Street Productions. Todd Anderson, who brought America the wildly successful Heartland Poker Tour, now returns to the poker world with Poker Night in America. Rejoining Anderson is a face that many poker fans will recognize: Chris Hansen. Hanson, who many may remember as the host of Heartland Poker Tour, now joins Poker Night in America as the host who tries to keep all the players in line (or at least on focused).
