Poker attracts all types of people from all walks of life and Greg Mueller came to poker via ice hockey. The former professional hockey player learned poker while playing professional hockey in Europe from 1992-2000. The transition from professional sports to professional poker seemed pretty easy for Mueller, who once he started playing professionally made an impact.
Since his first tournament in 2003, Mueller has won 2 WSOP bracelets and won over $2 million. While $2 million is quite the number, some estimates put it at much higher because of his reputation at cash games and playing online. In 2014’s WSOP events Mueller won over $50,000 in prize money. No matter if its cash games or tournaments, Mueller is a big personality only dwarfed by his poker skill.
